Your tax-deductible donations will help bring DMT: THE SPIRIT MOLECULE (DMT: TSM) to a worldwide audience. To help with the cause, COTTONWOOD RESEARCH FOUNDATION (CRF) has made it possible for the film to accept tax-deductible donations through fiscal sponsorship of the project. CRF develops new technology capable of measuring previously undetectable levels of certain compounds, including N,N-dimethyltryptamine and 5- methoxy-N,N-dimethyltryptamine. Additionally, CRF performs research into effects, mechanisms of action, and relevance of plant-based psychoactive materials in psychiatric research and treatment, ultimately creating a symbiotic relationship with DMT: TSM.

WHAT IS FISCAL SPONSORSHIP?
Fiscal sponsorship is an important fund raising tool for documentary films. Fiscal sponsorship means that a registered non-profit organization (501c3), in this case, CRF, agrees to become the 'fiscal agent' for
the project. The sponsorship allows us to qualify for grants from charitable foundations that support public interest projects. Furthermore, it allows individuals to donate funds to DMT: TSM, and in return receive a tax-deduction for their contribution. This film was independently financed, and while it is low-budget, our expenses are significant. Any amount helps us recoup some of our production costs, and ensure this film screens for the widest audience possible.
